I have been designing and making gardens as Earthworks Garden Design since 2003 and I offer bespoke, client focussed garden design throughout Yorkshire from my base in Leeds. The above film will give you a good insight into how I can help you create a garden you truly love.

As part of my professional qualifications I worked as a gardener at the Royal Horticultural Society's Harlow Carr Gardens in Harrogate. After achieving my qualifications, and after twelve years of designing gardens professionally, I was invited by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to deliver garden design courses.

For five years, until 2020, I wrote and delivered two highly popular courses on behalf of the RHS: An Introduction to Garden Design; and Forging Ahead with Garden Design. I am an accredited Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers, which is the only UK organisation solely dedicated to maintaining professional standards for garden designers, and representing the very best of the industry. I have been an assessor and a mentor on the RHS Green Plan-It Challenge; and have lectured in garden design for over a decade at various levels, up to Foundation Degree. I love teaching garden design, but working with clients to design and make their gardens is my true passion!

My aim is to design a garden that you truly love; we will work together to achieve a shared vision.

I work with carefully selected landscape contractors who will quote to build your garden, and my transparent tendering process means prices are compared like apples for apples.

I am happy to act as your consultant during the construction of your garden and you will enjoy seeing your garden come together. Your garden will be planted using beautiful plants which are chosen especially for the conditions of your garden to make your own unique aesthetic; and the details of your garden finished off for you to enjoy for many happy years to come.
